"On Tuesday 15th July 2008, we lost our beautiful 6 year old German Shepherd. She was coming back from her morning walk at about 11am, when she lost control of her legs starting to have a fit. With Hollie foaming at the mouth & vomiting, we rushed her to the vet who tried to save her, but she died at 5pm the same day. She had been poisoned - the vet said she had picked up some organophosphate (insecticide). My dog was 40kg and fit & healthy.
I live in Spain, and here the farmers put down this deadly poison anywhere. Also if a dog is poisoned, nothing is done. The last memory I have of Hollie is her foaming at the mouth and struggling for breath. I feel so angry, and we are lost without her.
How do we cope without her?"
