Well Benson it been a year since you left us and we still miss you and think about the good times we had with you, but now you won't be alone now as your old mate Billy had join you last week so i expect you have found him, and having a well of a time catching up where ever you are, look after him for us miss you both loads love you xx mum and dad

2. Canine Images help me "link" with my beloved Chombi whom I lost on the 5th of Dec 08. His death was so sudden it has been hard to come to terms wtih....still, after all these months. I miss him and our great times together. I open this website whenever I cannot cope with the emptiness, read the stories of others who'd lost their dogs and I feel somewhat comforted in our shared loss. An office colleague got another dog straightaway within a month of the death of his 12 yr old dog and suggested that I should too as he said it takes away the pain. Can anyone comment on this? Personally I feel numb at this suggestion but don't know why.

3. lorraine I feel strongly for you! no one understands (unless they have been through it ) just how much a pet can be part of your life? The only way I got through was to have a busy life just keep going on and although you feel guilty for moving on it's the right thing to do, I spent days crying over my dog and didn't want to face the world but my job and friends dragged me out of it.

   just take one day at a time and take comfort in how much you loved her and she is better off and not suffering now! all will be well that I promise you and like me a dream or two will happen that will comfort you! I have 2 girls that were upset and I took her water bowl and had it engraved in memory of "Laney" and they take comfort in watering the plant thats in there...sort of a rememberance thingy? but don't worry hun you are not a alone it's awful to loose someone thats a best friend and very hard to adjust but you will get there!!! have faith!!

6. just want to say thank you for the lovely tribute to our ben who sadly left us last monday, still cannot believe he had gone from us, we will miss him dreadfully and remember the joy he gave us over the years. This is a lovely website and i am glad i found it.

8. It is 1 month tomorrow since Rupert died but there seems to be an unbelievable hole in my life, I seem to miss him more each day.

   I also feel so sorry for all the other people out there who are also going thru similar pain.

In the past week since I lost my beloved dog, Toby, the Canine Images website and their compassionate, caring support has literally been a heaven-sent lifeline, helping me to cope, understanding my grief and most importantly, allowing me to place our family tribute to Toby. This is truly a wonderful website! Thank-you!

   I know that other visitors to the site who are struggling to deal with the loss of their dog will also find great comfort here. God bless to all our darling dogs!
